The First 6 years

The White Belt is your first belt expect to stay at this belt for a min of 6months. then you will be eligable to earn your Grey Belt white stripe

Just like the White belt any student ages 4 to 15 can earn this belt. You only earn this belt once you graduate from the White belt. First, you spend a minimum of 6 months in the grey belt with a white stripe then you move on to a Full Grey belt for a min of one year, then you graduate to the final grey belt with a black stripe and stay in that belt for a min of a year. then you will graduate to the yellow grouping of belts.

If you turn 16years of age at any time while you are a grey belt your next belt you will eligable for will be an adult blue belt.

To be eligible for your Yellow belt you need to have been practicing jiu-jitsu for a minimum of 3 years and be at least 7 years old. As a yellow belt, you will spend a min of 1 year at each yellow belt. Eligible to graduate to an orange belt at the age of 10.

Also Just like the previous belt if you turn 16 years of age at any time during your time as a Yellow belt you will be eligible to graduate to an adult belt belt at your next grading.

6 plus years

The Orange Belt is an advanced kid belt, your son or daughter would have to have been doing BJJ for at least 6 years and be a minimum age of 10 years old to be eligible to earn their Orange belt. once they have earned their Orange Belt the 3-year cycle continues, just as the previous belt.

However if at any time they turn 16 years of age they will be eligable to earn their adult blue or purple belt at the time of grading.

If your son or daughter is about to earn their green belt it means they have been doing BJJ from an early age as it takes 9 years of BJJ to be eligible to earn their Green Belt.

If you turn 16years of age at any time while you are a Green belt your next belt you will eligible for will be an adult blue or Purple belt.
